Session No.6 – the future of Robots in the Workplace
Many people fear that robots or full automation may someday take their jobs, and others argue this is simply not the case and that Robots have the potential to bring more advantages than disadvantages to the workplace.
What are the benefits of robotics? Safety, Speed, Consistency, Perfection, Productivity. What about Job Creation and Happier Employees?
Join us on Wednesday 25th November @ 10:30am to hear from Nicci Rossouw, Funder and CEO of Exaptec on what to expect from Robots in your future workplace.
Thanks to our sponsors this will be a FREE event. Join us via ZOOM here: Click to Join Session
Session Presenter:

Nicci Rossouw, Founder and CEO of Exaptec
Nicci Rossouw is a robotics solution innovator and disrupter and was listed in among the “30 women in Robotics that you need to know about”
In her own words, Nicci is a “Specialist in robotics automation solution design and delivery using Robotics as a Service as a business model. Specialist in client engagement and passionate in delivering the highest quality of service that unlocks high value ROI for enterprises. I am a thought leader in the application of Robotics technology and how we as humans interact with robots in a social workplace context. I strongly believe that robotic automation will deliver a profound positive difference to people’s lives.
About Robots & Robotics :
The concept of creating robots that can operate autonomously dates back to classical times, but research into the functionality and potential uses of robots did not grow substantially until the 20th century. Today, robotics is a rapidly growing field, as technological advances continue; researching, designing, and building new robots serve various practical purposes, whether domestically, commercially, or militarily.
Robotics involves design, construction, operation, and use of robots. The goal of robotics is to design intelligent machines that can help and assist humans in their day-to-day lives and keep everyone safe. Robotics draws on the achievement of information engineering, computer engineering, mechanical engineering, electronic engineering and others. Robotics develops machines that can substitute for humans and replicate human actions.
Robots can be used in many situations and for many purposes, but today many are used in dangerous environments (including inspection of radioactive materials, bomb detection and deactivation), manufacturing processes, or where humans cannot survive (e.g. in space, underwater, in high heat, and clean up and containment of hazardous materials and radiation).
About AWISE
AWISE (Albury-Wodonga Innovation Summit & EXPO) is an annual event hosted from Wodonga in North East Victoria to explore, celebrate, and learn about advancements in Innovation locally, nationally, and globally.
In previous years we have run a full day event bringing together industry, business, and education institutions; however, due to the present lock downs and social distancing, we are planning to run the program over a series of webinars and workshops throughout the months of October and December.
