DESCRIPTION:TheHUB’s 2019 Expert In Residence (EIR) program is a two-day bootcamp which will be delivered by Peter Dostis\, CEO of Runway Geelong. The program has been made possible due to the kind support of the Victorian Government through it’s LaunchVic Initiative and sponsorship from Tier One’s online solutions business Blue DIGITAL. \nTo complete an Expression of Interest to participate please complete this form. \nFor more information regarding this program please contact Regional Business Hubs on 02 6051 5657. \nProgram Details: \nThe program – which is scheduled to commence in early September – will provide startup entrepreneurs and early stage business owners with the essentials skills required to validate their idea/opportunity and where a real opportunity is present translate this into a clear strategy and equip them with the tools and skills to pitch their venture to grow and further commercialise their product or service. \n\nThe two-day bootcamps – which are to be delivered three times between September and November – will also provide the participants the opportunity receive one on one mentoring from Peter Dostis. \nAbout the EIR: Peter Dostis\, Founder & CEO of Runway \n\nPeter is passionate about innovation and the commercialisation of products and services to gain competitive advantage for Australia globally. He is currently CEO and co-founder of the Runway Geelong incubator program focused on creating a start-up ecosystem in Geelong that will help launch start-ups as well as develop Geelong into a start-up city. \nPeter has a significant amount of commercial and operational experience having hopped in and out of both his own start-ups as well as a number of medium and large corporate businesses including 7 Eleven\, Cotton On\, Myer\, Spotless\, Pivot Limited and the Just (Jeans) Group. \n\n\nAbout Runway HQ \n Runway HQ is a Geelong based organisation that exists to help entrepreneurs in regional locations and create sustainable start-up ecosystems. \nHaving founded and run successful regional startups themselves\, Founders Nick Stanley and Peter Dostis witnessed the difference that quality mentoring\, access to capital and access to networks made on the relative success of startups. After researching successful ecosystems globally\, they identified that while physical incubators and accelerators are a critical component\, there were more “must have” ingredients to make successful regional ecosystems perform. \nAbout LaunchVic \nLaunchVic is Victoria’s startup agency. They were established by the Victorian Government in March 2016 as an independent agency responsible for developing Victoria’s startup ecosystem. With the help of startup founders\, entrepreneurs and investors\, corporatations and universities\, LaunchVic is building a startup ecosystem that can strengthen the economy\, encourage more people to work with and for startups\, and represent all Victorians.
